Homebrew Club of the Greater Reno Area

Washoe Zephyr Zymurgists (WZZ – pronounced whiz) is the homebrew club of the Greater Reno area. Anyone who enjoys homebrewing and lives anywhere in the area, including the eastern Sierra of California, is encouraged to join us in discussing beer at our monthly meetings. Generally, we have a gathering on the second weekend of the month where food and beer are shared by everyone. Membership dues are $25/yr, including complimentary logo glassware. Email the WZZ president for more information on membership.

The Washoe Zephyr Zymurgists Homebrew Competition occurs on the last weekend of Febraury each year. Our goal is to be the premier homebrew competition by providing the best possible feedback to homebrewers. Tapping the many experienced and high ranking BJCP judges in Reno and northern California, our excellent pool of talented judges can be used as a warm-up for the AHA National Homebrew Competition.

On this site, the monthly newsletter is made available. Additionally, detailed information on our annual homebrew competition as well as relevant historical and current information and some links, including archives of stories from past newsletters are also posted.
