Nevada State Homebrewing Championship (NSHC)

Thank you all for supporting the GBBO (entering, stewarding, judging, and enthusing).  Now, setting our sites on the NSHC….

  • The weekend of October 16-18 is tentatively set as the date (that is, the selected weekend in general).  We may start judging on Thursday, the 15th, and end on Saturday, the 17th.
  • All Northern Nevada brewers (entrants) that placed (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or HM) in the GBBO are allowed entry.
  • Entries must be in the same category (number) as entered in the GBBO.  The entry may be in another sub-category (letter), but not another numbered category.

More information is coming regarding entrants, details, and other details.  For now, I just wanted to get this, at least, out to you.

GBBO Results

Congratulations to all who entered the Great Basin Brew-Off for 2015.

Many thanks to all who helped put this together, especially Great Basin Brewing Co. (especially Tom and Bonda Young, Jazz Aldrich, and Paul Ganzer), The Reno Homebrewer (especially Rob Bates and Karen Bates), and Brew Chatter (R.J and Josh).

All who volunteered to Steward and Judge, we couldn’t have done this without you.  Many thanks, especially to Bob Durr, who always took it upon himself to do the quiet serving and cleaning up that made us look considerate to our hosts.

The results are posted on the Contest Registration link, and also here on the Archives, and here on this link.

Scoresheets and medals will be delivered to The Reno Homebrewer sometime this week.

The Best of Show winners plaques may take a little longer as they have to be engraved with the winners names and entries.  Expect a further announcement on that.
